Spring 2026 | the crossroads and west side

The Crossroads being a community expressive with art and business, the Greenline can serve a purpose in facilitating more pedestrian traffic and reducing vehicular dangers. With this, it can act as a connecting link between pedestrians and spaces for rest, events and expression for the Crossroads.

Riders would connect to the Crossroads from the east on 19th street and ride in protected bike lanes past restaurants and businesses in the heart of the Crossroads. Continuing westward, the route transitions onto Southwest Boulevard, where protected bike lanes guide riders through the West Side. From there, riders connect to Allen Avenue and descend toward the West Bottoms, creating a link between two of Kansas City’s most distinct neighborhoods.
